Re: Championship Round 6 Reports
Nottingham forest 0-1 Blackburn.
Really proud of the players in this one, they had to be patient however took a chance when it mattered, Brennan Johnson who had an amazing game set up Ronnie Stutter who managed the goal. Even though they went down to ten men early Nottingham forest still made us fight for this result so it was not an easy win. Really proud of how our defence stood strong especially the two centre halves.

Re: Championship Round 6 Reports
Sunderland 0 - 2 Burnley
Burnley produced a clinical away performance to secure a 2–0 victory over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Despite Sunderland enjoying more possession early on, Burnley created the clearer chances, with Odobert and Fofana both testing Luca Perri in the opening stages. The breakthrough came on 36 minutes when Odobert’s corner caused problems and Hercules reacted quickest to fire home from close range. Just two minutes later Burnley doubled their advantage as Fofana burst through and finished after his initial effort struck the post.
Sunderland pushed for a response in the second half, but Casper in the Burnley goal produced several solid saves to preserve the lead. Burnley managed the game well defensively while threatening on the counter. Sunderland’s frustration boiled over late on when McDonnell was sent off for hauling down Hercules. It sealed a win for Burnley with Odobert earning Man of the Match for his display.

A two minute burst of two goals for them, and then they put everyone behind the ball. Are teams that scared of us? For our part we then spent a lot of time doing not much of anything, with McDonnell cutting someone down and getting sent off. But despite them having about 20 people behind the ball they still were able to get through on goal? This is a real regression to the mean result for us. Possession don't mean much if you don't score out of having the ball.
