In the U21 cup we aren't doing much better than the seniors but at least have had a win out of the three games and that is so far better than our opponents in this match. The downside then is they will be wanting that first win and not doubt see us as a place they may get it.
We need to be ready and stop them if we want to get the points.
Squad wise it all looks pretty even but we at least have our main striker Umeh back after a 5 game injury absence but will be without Toulson in defence who is suspended for this game.

Blackburn Rovers U21 vs Sunderland U21
In our next game in the cup we face Sunderland. They are very good at producing youth players and now they have a full time manager in charge they have a chance of really improving. There manager is showing commitment and this won't be an easy game to get a result in. We've started very well so far in all compatitions however nothing is certain in cup football. Sunderland like us hhave a good record of producing young players.

Away to Blackburn. We remain in good nick in this competition and overall form is good. Wilson probably won't pass a fitness test, he's still sore, but everyone else is available. I do fancy our chances based on the results of the last few matches and that Lamb and Lambert are regularly scoring now. Lamb has three man of the match awards already! I'll be looking forward to a fourth...

A win has so far eluded us in this competition and I'm not sure we can get one against Leeds but we can try our best. A few rested players come back into the team including both loanees so hoping for a decent performance at least.
